Your staff, fishing, chef, suites, views and level of service is extraordinary. I cannot wait to hang out with you all again, Trap”- Trapper Rudd – Host of LL Bean’s Guide to the Outdoors
“I have been to several exclusive fly fishing lodges over the years and I can say that my experience at this lodge has been the best. Everyone in our group of 15 caught and released 15 – 20 inch fish each day. The Lodge on the river is superb with all ensuite marble bathrooms and a stunning great room. The guides and boats are the best. Food was 5 star. I highly recommend this lodge.”- John. S
“This is a rare fishing Lodge. It has great accommodations, great food, fantastic guides/staff, and awesome fishing! The fishery is large enough to take pressure and still produce awesome results consistently through the entire summer. It’s also big enough to provide privacy and diversity in the fishing opportuniteis (dry, streamer, terrestrials, nymphs, wading). I went with my 79 year-old father and he never had to put his waders on the entire week – and he out-fished me with hoppersand tricos! A great overall lodge.”- Eric W.

Location
Montana rivers are some of the finest fisheries in the world, providing miles and miles of blue-ribbon water. The cool temperatures and steady flow, combined with prolific insect life, provide an ideal environment for trophy trout. Fly fishing the Missouri River or one of the many creeks and streams in the area is an amazing and memorable way to spend time on the water!
The lodge is an easy 40 minutes from Great Falls airport or roughly 2 hours from Bozeman.
The Fishing
The Missouri River is a classic western tailwater that begins at Three Forks outside of Bozeman and wanders for miles. The Missouri is known for large populations of trout that have an average size that rivals any river in the world. This is due to good management, quality insect hatches and consistently cold, clean water.
The insect hatches are what makes this river a destination for anglers from all over the world to make their annual visits. The Dry Fly fishing and technical match the hatch scenarios can be some of the most challenging and rewarding that you can find. These hatches are best chased from April through November, but don’t limit yourself to only those months and only surface feeders. The indicator nymphing that takes place from the drift boats can be beyond your wildest imagination of productivity. At certain times of the year, you might find yourself throwing large streamers to the banks to pick up fish that are hugging tight to the bank, which can also be amazing when that bite is on.
Typical equipment is your favorite 9ft or 10ft 5wt or 6wt with floating line.
