Ed Manasse

President

Ed Manasse was introduced to the outdoors at a very young age and shares the same passion for it as his mom and dad. Born and raised in the Northeast, Ed became an avid whitetail hunter and spent countless hours with his parents and on his own pheasant hunting and fishing for both fresh and saltwater species from Long Island Sound to Lake Ontario. As President of Fish Nation, Ed has fished with several of our operations throughout North and South America. Ed has spent the last 20 years in Florida as an operations and marketing specialist and spends every available moment with his family either in the woods or out saltwater fishing. Ed’s children, Carley, Lucas and Cody truly enjoy the outdoors and just last year both Carley and Lucas successfully harvested their first whitetail deer. Ed took over operations  in 2014 and is focusing his efforts on expanding hunting and fishing opportunities both domestically and internationally.

JOHN POMAZI

John and his wife and children are life-long Oregon residents. John has 6 years distinguished military service and graduated from Western Oregon State College with a B.S in Law Enforcement and worked in that field for 26 years.
John grew up hunting mule deer with his dad.  After getting out of the military his best friend got him into archery hunting and began pursuing elk along with mule deer and black bear.  Started hunting Idaho for whitetail’s and elk in the mid 90’s.
Became interested in hunting other states for more opportunities and has hunted Alaska for black bear, grizzly bear, brown bear, moose, mountain goat and Sitka blacktails.  John's hunted many of the western states along with most Canadian provinces.  His true love is Africa which started as a once in a lifetime trip in 2008 but turned into 8 safaris with the most recent being last year.
John thoroughly enjoys the research and logistics of planning a hunt almost as much as the hunt itself which led him to becoming a member of the Hunt Nation team.
He is a lifetime member of the Oregon Hunter Association, Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation and SCI.

Alex Beane

Alex grew up in the Northeast with a fishing pole in his hand.  At the age of ten he was introduced to the Fly-Fishing world and never looked back. Moving to the Rocky Mountains at the age of 18 and becoming part of the Fly-Fishing workforce community as a guide and shop manager was just the beginning.  Over the next 30 years Alex moved around the country guiding and managing Fly Shops while continuing to grow his knowledge of the world’s fisheries. The journey took him from Colorado to The Olympic Peninsula, Alaska, South West Florida and finally landed him in The Redfish Capital of the World, Louisiana.  Louisiana is where Alex’s wife grew up and this is where they are raising their two boys together. Alex now spends most of his local recreational fishing time poling his family around the flats in search of the treasures of the Northern Gulf of Mexico and the amazing sight fishing opportunities that exist there. Throughout all this time Alex has been cultivating relationships with lodges, outfitters and guides worldwide while hosting groups and connecting his clients to the best opportunities for their Fly-Fishing Travel. Alex is excited to be part of the Fish Nation team and introduce great people to great operations that can help to solidify the trip of a lifetime.

JOAN MANASSE

MANAGER

Joan was introduced to hunting by her husband Butch. She raised English Setters in Connecticut and enjoyed taking the dogs out pheasant hunting. One morning Butch took her Whitetail hunting and she shot an 8 pointer that dressed out at 254 pounds. Joan has been an avid hunter ever since! For over 17 years she was an outfitter on a whitewater river with over 100 canoes, kayaks and rafts in the inventory. Joan has traveled all over the United States and the world in the pursuit of game animals. Since she and Butch moved to Wyoming back in 1998, they have owned and managed this consulting business. They enjoy hunting and fishing as often as they are able. Joan hunts with either a bow, muzzleloader or rifle. Their home and office are decorated with the many animals they have taken.

DON SANGSTER

Consultant

Don makes his home in Mississauga, Ontario, and is an avid multi-species hunter and angler; he describes one as his passion and the other as his obsession — which is which varies with the seasons. He’s been a professional outdoor writer and photographer since 1998, and is a frequent contributor to numerous North American print and web publications. He also owns a business that acts as distributor/wholesaler/manufacturers’ representative for a select group of premium hunting and fishing products and brands. Don feels privileged to live in Canada, a country blessed with an abundance of game and fish, and a world of hunting and fishing opportunities to go with it. He has chased fur, feathers and fins extensively across Canada’s vast landscape, but has also hunted and fished many areas of the U.S., along with Africa and South America. When it comes to hunting or fishing, he enjoys talking nearly as much as doing, and he’s always just a phone call or email away to chat with you about your next global hunting or fishing adventure.

EDDIE DEUSER

Consultant

Hunt-Nation has recently brought on another fantastic member to the team who brings the experience, charisma and passion for the outdoors which will surely benefit our company and clients. Eddie was born and raised into a hunting and fishing family. From pursuing blue crabs in the Chesapeake Bay to big game hunts in the west and most everything in between, you could always find him and his family pursuing nature’s bounty. Eddie recently retired from the Federal Aviation Administration after a thirty-five-year career in Air Traffic Control. He worked as a controller, supervisor, operations manager, and finally the Air Traffic Manager of his home airport, St. Louis Lambert International. This career provided Eddie an opportunity to do a vast amount of traveling and thus to take hunting trips all over the globe. While extensive travels in both his youth and career allowed Eddie to live in or visit all States in the country, Missouri has always been home. Acquiring a small farm in the northeastern part of the state allowed for Eddie and his Dad to pass along the long-standing family tradition of hunting to Eddie son’s Darren and Christian. It was through this, that Eddie discovered that he enjoys helping others experience and discover the thrills of the outdoors as well. He finds it just as exciting and fulfilling helping someone get their first turkey or whitetail as he does harvesting one himself. Eddie has organized and directed hunting and fishing trips from Maine to Alaska for bear, moose, elk, deer, salmon, halibut, turkey, upland birds and waterfowl. It is this broad background and desire to help others enjoy all there is to enjoy in the outdoors that makes him ideal to help you find just the right adventure for you and your friends.
