MOTHERSHIP PROGRAM
Unlike traditional lodge-based programs, the mothership moves up and down the Paraná River throughout the season, tracking dorado migrations and concentrating on areas holding the highest numbers of fish. This mobility allows anglers to fish some of the most remote and lightly pressured waters in the region—an enormous advantage when targeting trophy golden dorado.

In addition to explosive dorado fishing, the fishery also offers exciting opportunities for pirá pitá, pacú, and wolfish, all of which have become increasingly popular targets for fly anglers. Guests are conveniently picked up in Buenos Aires and driven directly to the mothership, making access to this world-class dorado experience surprisingly easy.

That’s right, go to where the fish are when you are there.

The Fishing
Flowing through Entre Ríos and Santa Fe, the Paraná River forms a massive delta system of channels, lagoons, and tributaries before emptying into the Río de la Plata near Buenos Aires. This is one of South America’s largest and most dynamic fisheries.

Anglers fish new water daily, targeting moving water and structure—runs, lagoon inlets, side channels, and bait-rich tributaries where golden dorado hold and hunt aggressively. Dorado are apex predators, often ambushing prey tight to structure in current.

Fishing is done from purpose-built fly boats with dual casting platforms and quiet electric motors, allowing precise positioning and efficient coverage of prime water. In addition to dorado, opportunities exist for pacú, pira pitá, tararira, surubí, and other hard-fighting freshwater species.

Bring 8wt, 9wt and 10wt rods and plenty of flies and wire leaders.

The Lodge (mothership)
The River Cruiser repositions daily to stay on the best fishing water, providing anglers with fresh, lightly pressured locations throughout the trip. The mothership remains anchored near prime holding areas that are easily approached from the skiffs for efficient days on the water.

The simple yet elegant cruiser offers all the comforts needed for an exceptional fishing experience, including telephone service, internet access, and flat-screen TVs. Guests enjoy Argentine cuisine prepared by a dedicated gourmet chef, paired with a refined selection of renowned

Argentine wines personally chosen by the owners.

Evenings are spent unwinding in the living and dining areas or on the upper-deck solarium with a glass of wine, cocktail, or cold beer.

Weather permitting, lunches or dinners may be served ashore at remote sandbars, forested banks, or secluded islands, adding an extra layer of adventure. Accommodations include four double-occupancy cabins, each with air conditioning, private bathroom, TV, and comfortable beds—ideal for resting and recharging for the next day’s fishing after a day of battling the Golden Dorado.
