The Fishing
Most anglers are travelling to this region in search of Trophy Trout in one of the two well-known tailwaters. These rivers are best fished from a classic drift boat that is ideal for two anglers and a memorable day of float fishing. The water levels, insect activity and day to day knowledge of your guide will dictate which of these rivers you will fish on any given day.
The tailwater trout fishing might be some of, if not the best in the Southeast. However, this region holds far more opportunities for those more adventurous, or those who have interest to change their rotation on a multi-day trip. This operation offers incredible walk and wade trips, half day and full day including great options locally in Tennessee as well as in Western North Carolina just over the border.
They also have access to some very productive small mouth bass fishing that if you have not tried it you should add your itinerary if the conditions permit. If that’s not enough and you’re looking for a little bit more adrenaline and the conditions are right They also offer jet boat trips for striped bass. This program gives you a tremendous amount of variety all based out of the Bristol Tennessee region.
